About & Submission Policy

Log43 is a field index of the open web — a structured record of sites encountered, organised, and noted for future reference. The name comes from the survey convention of logging waypoints: entry 43 in a given notebook marks a reliable point in uncertain terrain. This directory applies the same logic to the internet.

The index currently spans 22 sections and more than 800 individual entries. Categories cover the practical range of what people search for online — from healthcare providers and legal counsel to travel outfitters, technology firms, and financial services. Each entry is logged with its domain, title, and a brief description of what it does.

Submissions are open and free. If you operate a site that belongs in one of the 22 sections, use the submission form to add it. Entries are reviewed before being included in the live index. The goal is a catalogue that remains navigable as it grows — not an undifferentiated pile of links.

Log43 does not rank sites against each other or assign scores. The index is alphabetical and categorical — a reference tool, not a competition. Use it to locate resources, compare options in a given field, and find starting points for further research.

The log is updated on an ongoing basis. Entries that no longer resolve or have materially changed their scope are flagged and reviewed. If you find an outdated or incorrect entry, the submission form accepts corrections as well as new listings.
